Excellent Care for All Act Excellent Care for All Act of 2010 was passed in Ontario to improve patient wellbeing and enhance high-quality health care. Different care provisions in this Act includes subjecting the healthcare organizations to maintain quality committees, a survey of staff and patients, and payment of salaries based on the quality improvement initiatives. The accountability of the healthcare to its patients as provided for in Excellent Care for All Act is achieved through the office of the Patient Ombudsman, which ensures quality and evidence-supported care models. Based on the disclosure of its patient information and classified data, the Act provides for the hospitals to the Ontario Health Quality Council and other institutions. They are required to disclose the employee salaries, quality metrics, and the evidence-based care milestones. These are also relevant reports to the Minister and Lieutenant Governor in Council, who are charged with the public assessment of the health outcomes in Ontario.
